Services - Website Accessibility

Coding: CamacWeb have coded this site in XHTML and CSS.

give us a callWhat does this mean, I hear you say and in plain English please!

It means that when a visitor to your website clicks on a page to open it, the page will download quickly and the visitor will not be left hanging on for large images to open!

The reasons CamacWeb are able to acheive these speeds is that we have incoporated internationally recognisable standards in building the websites. This will also have a very positive impact on the website's readability by search engines. For the more technically minded of you some of the standards are shown below.

Alternative text: The images have information describing its content, as a result, the image can be understood by text browsers and assistive technologies such as screen readers for the visually impaired.

Readable fonts: You can control the font sizes on the screen by using your web browser.

You can change the text size in Microsoft Internet Explorer by selecting View > Text size followed by your preferred text size from 'Smallest' to 'Largest'. The default setting is 'Medium'.

You can change the text size in Mozilla Firefox by selecting View > Text size followed by 'Increase' or 'Decrease'. To return the text size to its default setting, select 'Normal'.
